What we do with your details.

We are a small trade business, not a marketing company. We ask for your details so we can quote your job and ring you back, and that is all we use them for.

What we collect

When you fill in a form on this website we collect your name, your phone number, your suburb or street address, your email address, and whatever you tell us about the job. On the booking form that includes which service you want and the time you pick.

We also collect basic technical information that your browser sends automatically, such as the pages you looked at and which advertisement you arrived from. None of that identifies you by name.

Why we collect it

To give you a price, to contact you about your job, and to do the work. That is the whole reason.

If you book a time we use your details to confirm the booking and remind you. If you ask for a call back we use your phone number to ring you.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell, rent or trade your details to anybody. We do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for. The only people who see your details are Dave and whoever is doing your job.

Advertising and cookies

This website uses the Meta pixel, which is a small piece of code from Facebook and Instagram. It tells us how many people who saw one of our advertisements went on to enquire, so we know whether the advertising is worth paying for. It sets cookies in your browser to do that.

The pixel tells Meta that somebody enquired. It does not send Meta your name, your phone number or your address.

You can turn cookies off in your browser settings and this website will still work. You can also change your advertising preferences inside your Facebook and Instagram account settings.

Other services we use

Our online booking calendar is run by Cal.com. If you book a time, the name, email address and job notes you enter go to Cal.com so the booking can be made. They handle that information under their own privacy policy.

Enquiries from our forms are emailed to us. Fonts on this website are loaded from Google Fonts.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and job records for as long as we need them to run the business and to meet our tax and insurance obligations.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your details from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No system is perfect, so we do not collect more than we need in the first place.

Seeing or removing your details

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email dave@protradie.com.au and we will sort it out. We may need to keep records connected to work we have already done or invoiced.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
